I have decided to make my television ident for the Cbeebies channel as it would be more intresting and enjoyable to make. There are three main themes that i picked to see which ones i could make into an actual ident. The first theme idea that i had was to do with a popular Cbeebies program Shaun the sheep, on this part of the mind map i have a few ideas where i would be able to involve Shaun the sheep in three different scenario's. Some of these ideas would include things like a child counting sheep or christmas times. This would be appealing to the appropriate age group because Shaun the sheep is a very popular show. All of the ideas that i had would have been set in different periods of time. The next theme idea that had was using teddy bears. I would use these create a serial experience where teddy bears would do things that they would not normally do, some parts of the ideas included a teddy bears picnic and teddy bears on the beach. These idents would be appealing to the right age group as all children has a favourite teddy bear and would enjoy these different idents. The final idea i had would have been associated with another popular children program Justin's house, in this ident i would have used some types of sign language as this is what the person uses in the program. This would be an appropriate idea as children that watch Cbeebies would know what this program was.
The theme that i am going to use for my suites are teddy bears, as this would be a fun and entertaining ident to make. I also think that if i did this idea would be really appealing to all children of all ages as many children would have favourite teddy bears and dolls that they love. I chose this theme as i felt it would be more appealing to the particular age group that watch Cbeebies. I will also come up with three ident ideas and will use different, scenes, scenarios and the idents would be set in different times of year. They will also be set during different times of the day.
I adapted my ideas to make them interesting for the particular age group that i was trying to target. One of my ideas were set late at night while a child was sleeping, i chose this particular time of day because it makes the children think that it is time for bed. This would entice them to want to go to bed because all of there friends on television have gone to sleep. The next ident idea that i chose would be set in the summer on a sunny day. This would make the children want to go out and do different things during the day as well as coming back and watching some television. This could also be used to advertise a couple of different shows and characters that are on the Cbeebies channel. My final idea would be set in a house when it is raining. I chose this setting as it meant that they would be inside trying to stay warm, but this would not normally happen so it would be a serial setting.
