Task 2 - Designing the suite.

Task 2 -

I am going to use the teddy bear theme idea to create my idents. I have created three different ident ideas that i think would be appropriate to use for the channel and for the age group of the children that watch this channel. I made the ident idea so that they were all set at different times of the day and the year, they also set when there are different weather patterns happening to suggest that there are many different things for parents and children to do in many different kinds of weather.

Firstly, there would be teddy bears and some dolls on the beach sunbathing. They would have sunglasses on and look relaxed. The teddy bears would then have a carton of juice in there hand and would be drinking them. This would take place in the summer when it is sunny and would happen around midday. This would be interesting for children to watch as it would be funny to see because this is quite surreal as this would not normally happen in real life. This would also appeal to young children as it would give them some ideas of what they wanted to do in the summer. They would see this and would want to go to the beach with the teddy bears. I this ident it would begin with just showing the beach and then showing a teddy bear trying to lay out a blanket in his swimming shorts. The next part would show a teddy bear and a doll sunbathing and after that would show a women and a man teddy bear in there swimming costumes playing volleyball with a beach ball. The next part would the be the teddy bear laying on the blanket that he had layer out in the beginning and the next part would show two teddy bears swimming in the sea. The final two clips would be of the beach ball rolling away and the final clip would show the Cbeebies logo with the beach ball bouncing past.




Secondly, the ident idea that i had would have been on a rainy day a teddy bear and a doll having a tea party. The first clip would look out of the window to see the rain running down a window, the second clip is then when the boy who owns the toys leaves the room to go to school. The next part is when the toys start to sit up and then sort out there table for tea. The next clip is of the two toys sitting down for there tea and once they have finished they lay back down. The boy then comes back home from school and begins to play with the toys. The final clip will then show the Cbeebies logo with the child in the back ground watching television. The ident would be appealing to children as they all have favourite toys that they play with and they would also enjoy this ident as it is surreal and   would enjoy something simply like watching two toys have tea. This would be set in the winter at around lunch time when many children were getting ready to go to school as many young children would watch Cbeebies only go to school for a few hours during the day. This would also make the children getting ready for school to wonder what there toys get up to while they are not there, this makes the children more imaginative.

Finally, my last idea would take place during the night time and would be based on a child sleeping. The child's teddy bear is lying on the floor as the child goes to bed, when the child is asleep the teddy bear wakes up. The teddy ear gets up and begins to walk over to the torch and turns it on. the teddy bear begins to climb on the bed where the flash light is heading towards and struggles to get on the bed. The final clip is of the teddy bear climbs on the bed and then lays next to the child, the Cbeebies sign then appears on the screen but the 's' changes to a 'z' as it is representing the child sleeping. This ident would appeal to child as it would get them thinking about what the teddy bears get up to when they are sleeping, this is also appealing for parents as it is a way for them to get there children to go to bed on time. This is set in the night when a child would be asleep and this would be shown when children are getting ready to go to sleep. This would make the child want to go to e quicker so that they can go to sleep and have hugs with there teddy bears. I have decided to use my final idea as the ident that i am going to make because i think this will appeal the most to children and will make the think about what happens when they are sleeping. This will make them more likely to go to sleep as they will want this to happen to them when they are sleeping.
